You can perform Windows Autopilot device registration within your organization by manually collecting the hardware identity of devices (hardware hashes) and uploading this information in a comma-separated-values (CSV) file. Capturing the hardware hash for manual registration requires booting the device into Windows. So, this process is primarily for testing and evaluation scenarios.

Device enrollment requires Intune Administrator or Policy and Profile Manager permissions. You can also create a custom Autopilot device manager role by using role-based access control. Autopilot device management requires only that you enable all permissions under Enrollment programs, except for the four token management options.

In Windows 10 version 1809 and earlier, it's important to capture the hardware hash and create an Autopilot device profile before you connect a device to the internet. Those steps include collecting the hardware hash, uploading the CSV file into Microsoft Store for Business (MSfB) or Intune, assigning the profile, and confirming the profile assignment.

Connecting the device to the internet before this process is complete will cause the device to download a blank profile and store it until you explicitly remove it. In Windows 10 version 1809, you can clear the cached profile by restarting the Windows Out of Box Experience (OOBE). In previous versions, the only way to clear the stored profile is to reinstall the operating system, reimage the device, or run sysprep /generalize /oobe.

Microsoft Configuration Manager automatically collects the hardware hashes for existing Windows devices. For more information, see Gather information from Configuration Manager for Windows Autopilot. You can extract the hash information from Configuration Manager into a CSV file.

Use a plain-text editor with this CSV file, like Notepad. Don't use Microsoft Excel. Because of the requirements, editing an Excel file and saving it as .csv won't generate a usable file for importing to Intune.

When you upload a CSV file to assign a user, make sure that you assign valid User Principal Names (UPNs). If you assign an invalid UPN (that is, an incorrect username), your device might be inaccessible until you remove the invalid assignment.

During upload of a CSV file, the only validation that Microsoft performs on the Assigned User column is to check that the domain name is valid. Microsoft doesn't perform individual UPN validation to ensure that you're assigning an existing or correct user.

Device names can be configured for all devices but are ignored in Hybrid Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) deployments. The device name still comes from the domain join profile for Hybrid Azure AD devices.

Raspberry Pi have developed a graphical SD card writing tool that works on Mac OS, Ubuntu 18.04, and Windows called Raspberry Pi Imager; this is the easiest option for most users since it will download the image automatically and install it to the SD card.

If you are using a different tool than Raspberry Pi Imager to write to your SD Card, most require you to download the image first, then use the tool to write it to the card. Official images for recommended operating systems are available to download from the Raspberry Pi website downloads page. Alternative operating systems for Raspberry Pi computers are also available from some third-party vendors.

Plug your Raspberry Pi into the network using an Ethernet cable. When it detects a cable has been inserted it should start downloading the Raspberry Pi installer. If the download fails, you can repeat the process to try again.

Once your wireless network is configured and your Raspberry Pi has access to the Internet you will be prompted to update the operating system to the latest version. This will automatically download any patches and updates needed to bring your new operating system right up to date.

I have got to know that with Android 11 their is Scoped Storage compulsory to be used. But then I want to know how can we create files out of app specific folder (Internal shared storage\Android\data).

I was facing the same issue when using GetExternalStoragePublicDirectory and creating files under /Storage/emulated/0/Documents. Folder creation is successful, but when creating a new file, getting IOException saying that could not create file and File already exists.

I see the issue is there even when using the -samples/tree/master/LocalFiles repo also. It worked only for the very first time. Once the txt file is created, delete the file by going to Files app on Android phone, and try the app again. You will get the same exception.

To make life easier for you, our designers and teachers at Shillington have collaborated with the Creative Boom team once again to bring you this comprehensive list of recommended resources, which you can download for free (at time of writing).

As far as free stock photo sites go, we think Pexels is one of the best. With a community of photographers and videographers generously donating their work for everyone to download and use, royalty-free, it's also the first to respond to current affairs, providing the images we might need to illustrate our timely projects.

Animaticons is a set of high-resolution animated GIFs that you can customise. They are small in file size, compatible with all major browsers, emails, and smartphones and don't require any special plugins or libraries.

Fontfabric is a digital type foundry that creates retail fonts and custom typography for various brands. Rather generously, they also provide a selection of free fonts for anyone to download and use. We love Nexa and Intro, but there are lots more to browse and sample on its nicely designed website.

Life of Vids offers free videos for web designers, filmmakers, advertisers, agencies, or anyone else who can make use of them. You can create infinite loops with most of them, and they're all available to download for both personal and commercial use.

Simple to use in the browser, with no downloads required, Canva is a surprisingly powerful and flexible graphic design tool. It's no Photoshop, but it can do a lot of basic design tasks quite efficiently using drag and drop.

Created by Peter Assentorp, Social Sizes provides designers with the best sizes to use for image and video content on social media. Templates for Sketch, Adobe XD and Photoshop, are all included, and downloadable for free.

Kodi is one of the most portable media center software packages and can be installed on a huge range of devices including Roku, Apple TV, and Nvidia Shield. However, while Kodi works in a similar way across platforms, each device has different system resources, user profile folders, and subroutines. This can make it difficult to troubleshoot Kodi.

When Kodi plays streaming videos, it downloads a few seconds at a time to the cache. This allows for faster access and smoother streaming. However, when the cache fills up entirely it can cause Kodi to behave erratically. Choppy video is a tell-tale sign that the cache is getting full and although the cache usually empties itself, sometimes it needs to be flushed manually.

One such problem arises when attempting to upgrade from Kodi 16 to version 17+. The change from the Confluence skin to the new Estuary skin may cause you to experience some errors related to the Addons.db file.

The easiest solution is to delete your Addons27.db file (called Addons33.db in Kodi 19). This will disable (but not delete) all of your installed addons, allowing you to enable them one by one and identify the culpit.

If you've tried completely reinstalling Kodi and are still having problems, the newly-installed app is likely using files that were left behind. For instance, if your addons27.db file isn't deleted, even a brand new Kodi installation will have all of your old addons (and the problems they may be causing).

Luckily, getting rid of old files is easy. Just navigate to your Kodi installation folder and delete the whole thing. If you have multiple versions of Kodi installed, delete all of their respecive folders. Now, when you reinstall Kodi, you'll get the fresh start you always wanted.

I have been using Kodi for a few years now. I have just upgraded to 18.2. In the past, I would always use Ares Wizard to make a complete back up for my firestick. Save the zip file from using ES File Explorer to the cloud and then copy the zip file to all of the firesticks in my home. I learn that Ares Wizard will no longer allow you to back up your configuration once you install kodi 18 and higher. Ares Wizard will not allow you to select a destination folder path. Once you select the destination path and select ok, it will revert back to no location selected. Any recommendations on a backup solution similar to Ares Wizard? Or another way I can easily back up my configuration on one firestick and transfer it to another firestick?

Just updated from 17.6 to 18.1 RC4, there were no issues and everything went smoothly, but I have just noticed that when playing a video file or a music file I can no longer move the button along the progress bar to skip to the part of the file I want to see or hear.

hey Ian,I recently bought this android box (2gb, 16gb) called x96 mini. Everything is working fine but whenever i try to install any build (that works for other people), the build downloads but when the files are being copied after downloading, kodi simply crashes and the box restarts. When i open kodi then, nothing has changed. What do I do? Can i never install a build? 041b061a72
